Celebrations....

We've been busy burning data with FaceTime chats. We spent time watching our Edmonton based grandson, Owen walk and play and smile and wave and more.  Little Owen celebrated his first birthday this past mid-January. Now that he is walking, he's proving his independence.

We still marvel at just how connected we are although we are so far away from our family and grand kids.
It sure is fun for us to watch Owen getting around so well
Deni and Courtney held a fun birthday party a month or so back and the photos pretty well tell the story of the fun had with other like minded kids.
Birthday party fun
Yummy cupcakes
Mmmmmm....goooood......
The second birthday party celebrated Brie's first birthday only a few days back.  Brie is now demonstrating a desire to walk.

Funky looking strawberries
Nice design
Older brother, Easton is credited with having helped mom prepare this nice birthday cake for Brie.

Here in Desert Hot Springs, we attended a birthday party to celebrate a very special woman with a positively infectious personality.

Ocean (her real name) is celebrating at the Dillon Roadhouse Pub
Her special birthday carrot cake
Jeanette and me....celebrating Ocean's birthday
Stan, Jeanette and Roz enjoying the evening
Awesome entertainment provided by Victor - His stage name?  "Me, Myself 'n I"
The birthday girl assisting with keeping her clients happy during her birthday party.
Roz, me, Diane (placing some Mardi Gras beads around my neck), Hector and Stan.
The live entertainment is some of the best we have heard in a long, long time.  The Mardi Gras theme that Ocean chose for her birthday made for some great fun and plenty of laughs.  We all had a great time.....and we know Ocean sure celebrated in a style that suits her personality.

  1. Face Time is sure priceless especially when you away on holidays. Enjoyed your video of Brie testing her walking skills. Hard to believe she is already a year old. What a great job Easton and his Mom did on the cake. The party at Dillons looked like a blast. Our best to you both and have a Great Monday!
